About the American Engineering Company
This American engineering company was founded in 1997 and is based in California. They focus on solid-liquid separation for mining, mineral processing, industrial, and recycling operations. Their main business is turning industrial waste slurry into clean water and dry filter cake. That includes tailings management, water recovery, product recovery, regulatory compliance, and chemical services. They partner with Jingjin, the world's largest filter press manufacturer, as a key partner in the U.S. market. They offer complete turnkey solutions from front-end design to installation and commissioning. Their strengths include integrated systems, deep industry knowledge, and a global reach across the U.S., Mexico, South Africa, and beyond. They also export pumps, valves, fasteners, and other industrial components.
MP's Engineering and Design Capabilities in Crushing, Feeding, Screening, and Mining Equipment
The company specializes in rock crushing, feeder, screen, and mining equipment for global aggregate and mining operations. MP has been around for 15 years and is based in Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It runs a 48-acre manufacturing facility with over 120 employees, including five Ph.D.s, twelve master's degree holders, and more than 30 senior engineers. The company holds 45 patents and has built a complete R&D pipeline from basic research to process optimization.
MP turns out 400 units of rock crushing and screen equipment every year, plus a full range of feeder systems and other mining equipment. Products are shipped to more than 20 countries, including Sweden, Norway, Russia, Brazil, New Zealand, India, Thailand, and Vietnam, with overseas market share continuing to expand.
The company is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified. Its rock crushing and screen equipment also carries CE certification, fully complying with the EU Machinery Directive, Low Voltage Directive, and EMC Directive – no compliance barriers for the European market.
Customer Challenges – Screen Discharge Hopper Blockage Problems
The American customer needed a better screen solution for their mining operation. They first reached out to MP on December 4, 2025, asking about the largest horizontal three-deck screen the company could offer. Both sides stayed in close touch after that. For several months, the customer evaluated multiple suppliers across different countries, looking at overall capability, R&D strength, and value for money. On April 12, 2026, they contacted MP to request an on-site visit to check out its rock crushing and screen design capabilities, company size, and manufacturing capacity. both sides agreed on a date, and the customer flew from the U.S. to Zhejiang on April 21, 2026.
Once on site, the customer explained the problem. The discharge chute on their existing screen kept getting clogged, with material constantly building up – seriously hurting production efficiency. All they had was a rough sketch with basic outer dimensions and interface locations. No structural details. No process information. Nothing they could actually use to manufacture a solution. They needed a strong, technically capable supplier with real mechanical design expertise for rock crushing and screen equipment – someone who could take that sketch, develop a full engineering design, produce manufacturing-ready drawings, ensure seamless fit with their existing screen, and improve material flow so clogging stops being an issue.
MP's Engineering Solution for Screen Discharge Hopper
The company's engineering design for screens and mining equipment directly addressed the blockage problem. Mr. Yang walked the customer through the solution on the spot. First, the design team would take the customer's sketch and build a high-precision 3D model, capturing exact geometry and interface positions to ensure perfect matching with the existing screen. Second, they would redesign the internal structure to solve buildup and clogging – optimizing material drop angles, adjusting outlet shapes, and adding anti-clogging guide features to keep material moving smoothly. Third, the company would deliver full production-level engineering drawings with all manufacturing details: dimensional tolerances, welding specifications, surface finishes, and more. Once the customer gives written approval, production and delivery will proceed.
Mr. Yang highlighted what makes the company stand out on the design side:
A top-tier team of Ph.D.s, master's graduates, and senior engineers capable of handling everything from concept design to 3D modeling to structural optimization to production drawings.
45 patents demonstrating deep experience in custom, non-standard rock crushing, feeder, and screen design.
15 years of real-world experience in mining equipment manufacturing.
Strong R&D investment, including a provincial-level R&D center, a municipal industrial design center, a postdoctoral workstation, and university partnerships with Xi'an University of Technology and Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power.
Consistent R&D spending at around 5% of revenue – 5.09% in 2020, 5.21% in 2021, and 4.82% in 2022.
Mr. Yang also shared successful case studies of custom design and technology upgrade projects the company has delivered for customers in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, the Philippines, the United States, Germany, Austria, and other countries.
MP and American Customer Secure Collaboration for Mining Equipment Solutions
The American customer came away impressed with the company's R&D and design capabilities for rock crushing, feeder, screen, and mining equipment. They also appreciated faster delivery, better pricing, and strong after-sales support. Both sides finalized the cooperation and signed an agreement. The project is currently in the drawing design phase. Once the customer confirms the drawings, production and delivery will follow.
This visit not only moved the specific project forward but also built genuine trust between the two companies. Going forward, they plan to deepen technical collaboration and expand into other areas including rock crushing, screen, feeder, mining equipment, and solid-liquid separation technologies.
