Our standard grade manganese steel contains 12% to 14% manganese. Although the manganese content is lower compared to other grades, the carbon and chromium content is sufficient to compensate for the lower manganese, helping the liner achieve work-hardening more quickly during operation. This enhances the performance of the customer's equipment. Typically, our 14% manganese steel is used for liners in low wear or intermittent crushing applications.

With increased manganese content and corresponding changes in carbon and chromium levels, our high-performance grade steel achieves work-hardening more rapidly. Since most wear occurs shortly after installation, customers expect the liners to reach work-hardening faster to fully utilize the advantages of the liners and maintain their new profile. When wear reduces and the liner reaches the work-hardened state, our liners offer consistent wear across the entire profile and extend the customer's service life through an economically efficient solution, minimizing unexpected maintenance or downtime.

Our ultimate performance grade manganese material provides liners with exceptional performance for highly abrasive applications. As the abrasiveness of the material increases, wear accumulates more rapidly. If the material cannot withstand initial wear and reach the work-hardened state, the liner will fail to achieve the required service life and will not meet maintenance schedules or properly crush and form the product.

With higher carbon and manganese content and lower chromium levels, our ultimate performance liners reach the work-hardened state faster than other grades after installation, thus maintaining the profile and preserving crushing performance while extending liner life.
